i tried khadi's cuisine for the first time at the ypsi artisan market and couldn't stop thinking about it, so i went for dinner today. i got the lamb michoui with jollof rice and it's delightful! i do wish i had some of their pepper sauce to go with it for heat and more flavor, but the lamb is very tender and well seasoned and the rice was tasty as well. khadi's has been my first ever taste of african food and i'm excited to return and try more, especially the lamb curry stew!

Felt like a home cooked meal- Tried Khadi’s on a whim while walking around Ypsi and loved it. The chicken kous kous was large, flavourful, delicious and makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Felt like the meal was made with care and delicateness. Will definitely come back when in Ypsi.

Update 11/2025: had to come back to write an update. I tried the grilled chicken this time and wow the seasoning and sauce on the chicken was very good. I will be coming back to try the peanut butter stew next time! Red sniper and plantains were delicious! Will be back to try other things on the menu.

Very cute and homey mom and pop restaurant with exquisite food and service :) we ordered the Red Sniper, Tilapia, Lamb Michoui, Maffe peanut butter stew, the Dibi, and Fatayas to share. All of the food was cooked excellently and was absolutely delicious! The lamb was my favorite but both fish were tasty and unique in their own rights with an excellent char. The staff we interacted with were extremely helpful answering our questions and I’d recommend anyone who hasn’t tried Khadi’s yet to swing by and give it a go!

Delicious food and great customer service! Everyone I came with loved their meals and the portions are generous. The fatayas were a stand out! Many of the dishes and drinks were new to me, and I appreciated how patient the person who took our order was and answered all our questions. I look forward to coming back!

Was craving some plaintain, so I stopped by to get some grilled chicken, jollof & fried plaintain and oh my goodness it’s delicious!! Everything hit the spot, and the chicken was so flavorful & juicy. The portion sizes are great too (there’s a whole other piece of chicken & more rice not pictured)! And lastly, the woman that brought me the food was so kind definitely coming back for more
